Ruaha National Park
The Ruaha National Park is one of the largest parks of Tanzania covering an area of 20,226 square Kilometers. This has been a famous tourist destination over the years due to its easy accessibility and wide area providing tourists with a good safari. The Park has gained popularity over the years and government has been focusing on its development as well to make it a favorable destination for tourists. The Park comprises different terrain from lush green patches to rocky hills and a river crossing it at the southern tip.
This part is home to 570 species of birds along with other animals. The bird population is famous because this park receives migratory birds Europe, Australia and other parts of Africa and in a true sense the assembly of birds of the world. This Park is especially famous for its large population of predators and interestingly home to 10% of all African Lions. This Park is home to the largest population of elephants in Tanzania along with other predators.
Ruaha is a birds lover paradise where you can see birds moving all around with their melodious voices and shouts. Sometimes you feel that birds are happy to see you and in times it looks birds are uneasy with your presence. But all you need to do is enjoy without disturbing them.
